2 Skills I Wish I Had
At first, I thought, oh I can’t think of anything, just improving the skills I have. Then I reminded myself of the holes in my skill set.
Advanced Applique
As I mentioned in yesterday’s post, Dream Project, I need to work on the skills needed to make a Baltimore Album quilt. This falls under the heading of Advance Applique since it will involve techniques like rushing and dimensional applique. Though I have completed several applique projects, none are as complicated as the techniques needed for a Baltimore Album quilt. I’m working on a plan to fill this gap in my skills and will consider this project for 2020.
Ruler Work
I recently took a class on quilting using rulers at O’ Sew Personal, my local quilt shop (LQS). The rulers are designed to allow you to create patterns and designs when free motion quilting. I purchased a set of Westalee rulers. Now I need to set aside some time and practice the skills I was taught.
