A Weekend Project
We are having a string of great weather days here. Can't beat it. The picture is my weekend project at the long arm. I'm excited and nervous to get started. I plan to get some of my smaller projects finished as well.
Dream Big Panel
Dream Big is the name of this panel quilt. It is approximately 42 x 42, so wall-hanging size. The panel is a spectrum digital fabric print from the photography of Jeanie Sumrall-Ajero. She is also a co-owner, with her sister, of Kaleidoscope Collections LLC. The panel is printed by Hoffman California International Fabrics.
A bit of a quilting craze surrounds the Dream Big panel. It is available in a range of colors. Some quilters quilt their panels with free-motion quilting. Others use digitized quilting patterns. I'll be using a digital package from Nancy Haacke of Wasatch Quilting.
So, this is my main project this weekend. I'll see you with the quilted top on Monday.
Other Projects
My plan is to also finish up a few small things on some of the projects I worked on over the last couple weeks. I need to install the zippers and assemble the pillows of my Halloween Houses. Then, I still have three more placemats for my quilt-as-you-go Halloween placemats. Those will require bindings as well.
Of course, there is football on Sunday and the Packers play Monday night, so I'll be working on the hand stitched bindings for Halloween HST and Homecoming Sampler. Not sure if I'll have time for anything else.
What are your projects this weekend?
Until till next time,
