Easy Day

I'm taking it easy today. Just working on Blocks for the 100 DAY and a little time with SusieQ. I still have two more of the Celebrate panels to complete and then I'll start on the back log of Skill Builder projects.

Yesterday, I did manage to finish attaching all the bindings for the quilts and wall hangings that were waiting. And, I finished three more blocks.

#The100DayProjectMysteryQuilt

It's day 65 of The 100 Day Project Mystery Quilt - Block 65 is Beginner's Joy. This is a 3" block.

This pinwheel block splits the pinwheel creating a double pinwheel effect. Back in 2001, a friend's daughter wanted a pinwheel quilt. My friend had never made a quilt. I suggested this block and Eleanor Burns' technique for making it. Eleanor called it "Double Pinwheel". I didn't know then that its older name was "Beginner's Joy". The quilt turned out beautiful and her daughter loves it.
