Binding Day

Patty and I took a four mile walk this morning before the weather started getting hot here. It was very humid from the rain yesterday and we found the air to be quite heavy. Glad to be back home in the air conditioning.

Today's Plan

Now that the quilting of the Irish Chain is completed, I need to attach the binding. My cousin will stitch it down. So once it's attached, I'll be ready to hand it off to her. Yeah!

As long as I'm in binding mode, I will also attach the bindings for two of the "Celebration" wall hanging quilts. I usually stitch down my bindings while watching football games in the fall. I'll work on these when I'm listening to audio books. Right now, I'm listening to "The Tattooist of Auschwitz" by Heather Morris. Do you read or listen to audio books? What books are your reading/listening to now?

More Blocks

I continue to work on more blocks for the 100 Day project. I'm also planning out the color combinations for the next couple weeks. Since I passed day 50, I'm surprised how quickly the next two weeks went.

#The100DayProjectMysteryQuilt

It's day 62 of The 100 Day Project Mystery Quilt - Block 62 is Broken Star. This is a 6" block. I have a fondness for star blocks.  They are versatile, varied and sparkle in any quilt.

"The outstanding charm of 'Broken Star' is that it may be pieced so rapidly that one square may be finished in twenty minutes. And neatly done as well."
