Busy Weekend, Busy Week
We had a little of everything this past weekend. Rainy storms to breezy sunny. Patty and I took an eight mile walk on Sunday. The weather was beautiful. The day became even better when we ran into our friend Tammy along the way!
I spent much of my weekend getting to all the little things I don't get done during the week. That might be what the weekend looks like for many people. It certainly is what most of my weekends looked like when I was working.
Red and Butter Plus Bindings
With a full slate of football games, I finished binding one quilt and started the binding on another. I have three more at the machine ready to attach the bindings. So, that will add three more to the pile of three waiting.
Additionally, I spent time completing the top for Red and Butter. I also managed to get the borders added. Now I just need to figure out the backing. I thought I had something in my stash but there isn't enough for the entire back so I'll see if I can pick something up later this week.
UFO – Black Cherries
Black Cherries is progressing nicely. I was able to complete all the black and yellow half square triangles for the center block. Next, I'll assemble the center triangles and start working on the rest of the corner baskets. By completing a little bit every day, this wall hanging will join the done pile in no time.
Moda U
Before the storms I was able to complete one full block of custom quilting on the Moda U quilt. Gee, I really need to think of a new name for this quilt. I was thinking "House Warming Sampler" since it is a house warming gift and it is also a sampler quilt. What do you think?
This week my plans include more custom quilting for the blocks on House Warming Sampler and further progress on Black Cherries. I have another jelly roll of Halloween fabrics and a set of the quilt-as-you-go placemats and runner so that is my next project.
What will you be working on this week?
Until till next time,
