Good Times, Good Friends
I took a few days off to visit with friends. I so needed time with my two besties from Wisconsin. It's been a long time but there is no time or distance between good friends. We all needed the time together. It was a wonderful visit all around.
Working on Projects
My friends and I spent our visit talking, quilting and shopping. Each of us made progress on the projects we planned to work on during our visit. Debbie completed several of the blocks for her quilt. Helen made four placemats and I figured out and cut the setting block for the 100 Day quilt blocks.
Shopping Success
Helen and Debbie like visiting my local quilt shops. With masks and hand sanitizer, we started at Jackman's. Helen selected a pattern and fabrics for the most adorable pinwheel baby quilt. Helen is our pinwheel expert. Debbie was collecting fabrics for a future quilt she is planning. I found a Christmas Jelly Roll for a quilt-as-you-go project I'll be writing about in the coming days.
One of my favorite shops – ok, they are ALL my favorites – is the Quilted Fox. This cute little shop has a wonderful selection of fabrics plus some international fabrics not found in most quilt shops. Debbie found a couple more prints for her project. I was taken with some black and cream fabrics. I'll talk about that project in the coming days.
Our last stop was O'Sew Personal, which is the shop closest to my house. It is large space and under normal circumstances, there are always great classes going on. I was planning on taking a couple this fall, but now they have all been cancelled. They have a nice variety of fabrics, too.
#The100DayProjectMysteryQuilt
While I posted every day through day 100 to Instagram and Facebook, I was not posting here on my blog. So, I'll spend the next few days getting caught up here.
Day 93 of The 100 Day Project Mystery Quilt - Block 93 is Road Home. This is a 3" block.
This block builds on the 'Diamond in a Square' block. The center is a 4-patch unit.
