Halfway There
Today I am celebrating the halfway point in #The100DayProjectMysteryQuilt. It is also raining with moments of thunder and lightning, so SusieQ gets to rest today.
Current Projects
Stella gets a workout. Sounds like a children’s book title. I’ll be working on blocks, Heartland Express and cutting the pieces for the top for one of my Skill Builder Lessons. It’s a gray day so playing with fabrics adds color to my life.
#The100DayProjectMysteryQuilt
Whoo Hooo!! Today is day 50. We are halfway through the 100 days and I say, “Whew!” I’m feeling accomplished and have a pile of blocks completed on this quilt I designed about 5 years ago. It’s daunting to think of making 100+ blocks for a quilt but I have to say, having a 100-day challenge makes it just a bit easier to accomplish. I’ve made it this far and believe I can make it all the way.
Block 50 is Flying Geese. It is a 3” block. The flying goose unit in this block is a foundational unit in many other blocks. It also makes frequent appearances in borders and sashings in many quilt designs. I made my sample using scraps, so each goose is a different fabric.
