The Garden is Calling
We’re having a cool and windy day today. And it looks like the forecast for the coming week is extremely hot. I have just a few plants that I need to get into the ground before the heat wave strikes. I also want to get the watering system set-up and ready so my plants can survive the heat.
Plans
Once the garden work is done, I’ll be back to working with SusieQ. I have several projects waiting so we will be busy in the coming days. As always, I’ll be working on blocks and other quilt projects, too. Keeping busy keeps me sane.

It is day 51. The block is Electric Fan. It is a 3” block. Clara Stone shared this block in her book Practical Needlework around 1906. I can see how she was inspired by a new-fangled gadget called the electric fan when she named this block. In Marsha McCloskey’s Block Party (1998) she calls this block Kaleidoscope.
