Garden and Quilting

The garden work is complete for now. I’m having an issue with one of my sprinklers. It may need to be replaced. Everything else is working fine.

The picture plant is my new addition this year. Its an Aurora (Delphinium elatum). The tag says they attract hummingbirds and can handle full sun. I have a spot in my garden that I’ve had trouble growing things because it gets so much sun. If this one does well, I may add a couple more next year.

Long Arm and Quilting

SusieQ and I finished the table topper yesterday. We also mounted the backing for the king size quilt we are working on next. This is one big quilt! Today’s plan is to get the batting and quilt top basted. With a quilt this size, I need to do more basting than I usually do for a quilt top.

Welcome to day 52. The block is Combination Star. It is a 3” block. This block combines the “Diamond in a Square” block and Quarter-Square Triangle units to create a star surrounded by diamonds.
