More Storms and More Quilting
There is a large ban of storms rolling through my area today. I'll be inside working on my projects. Today I'm making train blocks for the second Heartland Express, at least 5 more blocks for the Inventory Quilt and a couple more 100 day blocks.
Inventory Quilt
I've decided to refer to the Off Center Log Cabin Scrappy as the Inventory Quilt until I come up with a name I like. I made 5 blocks yesterday to get a feel for how this quilt is going to work. I'm liking it so far. As I make more blocks, I'll be able to move them around the design wall to get the look I want for this quilt.
Here is an image of the layout I'm working toward. I may shift some of the blocks as I get more done but right now this is my starting point. I like the way the center and corner blocks appear in this layout. There is a bit of a circle affect surrounding the center, as well. The image isn't scrappy and that may make a difference in the final quilt. It's a work-in-progress.
#The100DayProjectMysteryQuilt
It's day 71 of The 100 Day Project Mystery Quilt - Block 71 is Flower Pot. This is a 3" block.
Flower Pot - There are several blocks variations that feature this style of creating a flower pot or basket with half-square triangles for the flowers or basket handle.
