Rainy Day Friday
It's the end of another week. I've never experienced weeks that feel so long and at the same time fly by so fast. Not while I was working, not when I was a kid. (though the summers did seem exceedingly long when I was a kid.) It feels as though we're living in some kind of time warp. How are you doing?
We are getting more rain here today. The clouds rolled in early and now it's just drizzling. The thunder is suggesting there is more to come. Right now, the storms are far enough away that I only hear them. But I know they are on the way.
Current Progress
About 4 blocks for the 100 day challenge were completed yesterday. Another 14 are prepared and ready to go at the sewing machine. I have found that when I do several at a time, they move along faster. It is easier to work a sequence of blocks than just one at a time.
Another project I finished was the top for Home Town Heroes. It's been added to my pile of quilts-to-be-quilted. That pile is getting rather large so scheduling time specifically for quilting is the next thing I need to do.
#The100DayProjectMysteryQuilt
Today is day 46. The block is Eight Pointed Star. It is a 3" block. I had a little fun playing around with this one. Shift the lights, darks and mediums for a different look.
Eight Pointed Star - This star block places half-square triangles in the corners for a different look.
I found this block in Marsha McCloskey's Block Party (McCloskey, 1998)
Here are some alternate combinations for the Eight-Pointed Star.
Are you making any progress on your projects?
Until next time,
