Sunny Monday
We'll be getting more rain later today, but for now, the sun is shining. It's a beautiful day. I plan to work in the garden and take Kona for a nice walk. After that I'll do some more quilting.
Quilting Day
There are a couple small quilts, about table-topper size, that I plan to get quilted this week. They all need backings, so I'll get those done today.
I have two more blocks to complete for the first of the Heartland Express quilts. The second one only has the engine blocks. I have about a dozen car blocks to make for the second quilt.
I'm itching to start a new quilt. I have more ideas then I can possibly create. The trouble I have is trying to narrow it to just one idea. For now , I'll let them incubate and just work on my UFO quilts. I think the next one will be a small wall hanging called "Black Cherries."
#The100DayProjectMysteryQuilt
Welcome to day 36. Today's block is Crossroads to Jericho. This is a 3" block.
Crossroads to Jericho – The name for this block comes from the Bible. If you page through any quilt history book, you will find several blocks named with a Bible theme.
"Their religion was such a vital part of the lives of our ancestor's that it is not strange that they gave Bible names to so many quilt patches."
This cute little block places a nine-patch block unit on point and then squares it by adding triangles in the corners.
