A Little of This and a Little of That

Even though things are starting to open up in some areas, I'm still getting requests for masks. I suppose that will continue for a while. I did not get a chance to work on Sew Many Ways yesterday. Today is full of Zoom calls and Webinars so it looks like I won't have anything to share on my quilt until Saturday.

The third block is called This and That. It is based on the Square in Square block. This and That can be colored many ways, making it a very versatile block.

Here are a few ways to color the block.

Option 1___________________________________Option 2__________________________________Option 3

When the colors are placed like my sample at the top of this post and arranged block to block, the quilt looks like a checkerboard. When the colors are placed like option 1, above, and block to block, it creates a star affect. Option 2 creates a stripe affect and Option 3 creates a plaid affect. Have some fun playing with color placement and see what you can create.
