A Short Quick Project
Yesterday was rain so today, of course, is humid. The clouds are gray so we may get a few more storms later today. Today that makes it a good day for sewing. I started the quick project yesterday. A wall-hanging or lap size quilt. It's called Home Town Heroes.
Once the storms pass over us, I'll be back with SusieQ. I have a couple of small projects and one large quilt to get finished in the next few weeks. Keeping busy keeps me out of trouble.
Shop Local
The local quilt shops in my area are starting to open again. Please take some time to shop your local quilt shops if you can. The COVID-19 stay-at-home orders have been particularly hard on small businesses. Those of us that enjoy quilting need to do our part to support these shops so they can be there for us in the future.
#The100DayProjectMysteryQuilt
Welcome to day 39. Today's block is Memory Lane. This is a 3" block.
Memory Lane - This is an interesting block in the way the placement of color in this block creates an X. Below is a little color play to show the versatility of this block.
I found this block in Marsha McCloskey's Block Party (McCloskey, 1998)
Are you planning any new projects?
Until next time,
