Running in the Rain
After family, the thing I've missed most are my 3-day-a-week runs with Patty. With the park reopened, we are working our way back to our routine. About a half week ago, we discussed our commitment, and I commented we needed to just do it, even if it's raining. Not if it's an electrical storm, we're not crazy. But if it's just rain, we run.
Well, today we got the chance to test that commitment and I'm happy to report, we passed. It was just misting when we started but by the end, it was raining. Not a down-pour, but a definite, steady rain. We were soaked by the time we got back to our cars. It felt good. Really good. That good you feel when you accomplish what you set out to do.
Plans for Today
Since it is raining, I'll be working on other projects today. I know it's just raining right now but the weather report is showing thunderstorms later this afternoon. That's ok because I always have plenty to do even if I'm not working with SusieQ.
A New Project
I'm looking at starting a new project. It's the May lesson from the Long Arm Skill Builder program from Joan Knight and Joyce Lundrigan. I like the project and have a few ideas on how I will use the completed quilt.

Welcome to day 38. Today's block is Cactus Basket. This is a 3" block.
Cactus Basket - This block is also known as Flower Pot. Triangles create the basket or pot and the polygons make the cactus or flower. I made my 'cactus' green, but you can play with other colors, too.
