Busy Mondays

Why are Mondays still Mondays? Most of the days of the week have meshed into one but Mondays…

There are several errands I've been putting off. I also made a few more masks to deliver. What I really want to do is just quilt. But it doesn't look like that will happen today. Maybe a little after dinner.

#The100DayProjectMysteryQuilt

It's day 21 and it's hard to believe this is the end of week three! The block is Grandmother's Favorite. The thing I like about this block is that it looks much more difficult that it is. Maybe that's why it was "Grandmother's" favorite??

All the little pieces provide opportunity to play around with color placement. On my sample, I switched the top triangle in the group of four to the dark purple-brown instead of using three green and one background. And, let's not overlook the large center square providing the perfect place to show-off a favorite print.

I found this block in Jinny Beyer's book where she credits Eveline Foland, Kansas City Star, November 5, 1930*.
