Frosty Morning
We had a late season frost here in Missouri last night. We're expecting another one on Sunday night. I took a few moments to cover my more delicate plants and brought in the hanging pots and planters. When I woke this morning, I discovered a heavy frost on my lawn. I was glad I took the time to protect my plants.
Weekend plans
The borders for Sallie's quilt are nearing completion. Just have those really long seams to complete. You know, the ones I don’t like to sew. I haven't decided which of my many UFO's will be next. I'd like a quick win; something that doesn't have a lot to do to bring it to finished. Unfortunately, I don't have very many UFOs that fit that scenario.
I'm thinking Black Cherries, a wall hanging, might be next. It's another border stoppage, however this one stalled after cutting because I wasn't sure I wanted to do the applique border. That means the pieced blocks are not even started. But it's a wall hanging and not a large one at that. So, it's probably my next closest easy to finish. And, I have time to rethink the border.

It's day 19 and the block is Berkley. I couldn't find out much about this block. It was not difficult to create though there are several pieces involved. The center square is a nice place for a focus print. I found it in Marsha McCloskey's Block Party book (McCloskey, 1998)
Until next time,
