One Daisy
Why is there always one bloom that pops before all the others? I've seen this on every plant I have. All the buds are there but only one blooms. It seems to take awhile before the rest join in. This little daisy has bloomed for about three days now and all his buddies are just waiting. Poor little guy.
Good news is that I was able to fix the sprinkler so now everything is getting wet. Well, all but one small section of the backyard. I have a solution for it but I'll need another section of hose to make that work.
More Long Arm and Blocks
Looks like a hot day today. I'll be working on the Irish chain quilt. It's cooler in the basement. Yesterday I was able to quilt seven more blocks on the top. Now that I'm starting the second row, I discovered a gap of about a 4" square area of the "chain" . After a little bit of searching and some pattern combination work, I came up with alternating Greek and Irish patterns to fill the space. It's a nice addition to the design.
I also started working on the Skill Builder quilt top for the February lesson. Some how I skipped that one. The one for April is waiting but I know I set that one aside because I haven't decided which fabrics to use. I want to get caught up on the tops for the projects so that once I finish the Irish Chain, I'll be ready for some more learning.
There are about twelve of my own practice projects waiting in the wings. Plus the four panel quilts I'm making for donation use. I love learning new techniques using SusieQ and creating computer designs.
#The100DayProjectMysteryQuilt
Welcome to day 54. The block is Rambler. It is a 6” block. I've always like this block. The math for this one is a bit tricky with the diagonal flying geese. This one is paper-pieced so that makes it easy. I used this block in a Baseball themed quilt I made for my cousin Casey. I can't find a picture of the quilt right now but I'll post one once I find it.
