Things are Getting Better

The stay-at-home orders are starting to lift around the country. We are still a long way from "back to normal". I'll continue to wear my mask in public. Not out of fear but out of consideration for others since I have no way of knowing if I'm a carrier of the virus. It's about reducing the spread and flattening the curve. I do so to protect my hospitals, so they aren't overwhelmed. I do so to protect my community. I'll continue to wash my hands and use sanitizer. They are little things I can do. As for my wrist, it is much better after immobilizing it for a day.

Long Arm Plans

Halloween HST

I finished Helen's Pink and Brown triangle quilt and it looks so pretty I want to keep it. Oops, sorry Helen. ?

Next up is Halloween HST cuz, it's almost October, right? Ok, it's not, but I plan ahead for the holidays. It will be Christmas soon as I start in July. Now is about right for Halloween anyway.

I had some fun playing with the computer yesterday and think I have a good idea of what designs I'll be using. At first, I was just going quick and easy with a Halloween themed edge-to-edge design. However, after playing around for a bit, I've decided to take on a challenge with this one. More tomorrow.

#The100DayProjectMysteryQuilt

It's sweet 16 day and the block is Crossed Canoes. It's easy to see how this block got its name. It reminds me of camping and the red canoe we had while I was growing up. Our family took many trips visiting different states and our canoe went with us. Great memories.

This block is from Ladies Art Company, 1897*
