Well That Didn't Work
Somehow, I managed to sprain my wrist yesterday. No great story to go with it either. I was just getting out of a chair and placed my wrist just enough wrong to strain it. Ugh. Getting old is not fun, but as my dad used to say, "Getting older is mandatory."
Long Arm Plans
Since it is my left wrist and I'm, of course, left-handed, some of my plans have changed. A lot less writing and drawing. More, long arm sewing with Susie Q. Must make the most of what you've got.
Now that Sew Many Ways is ready and I do have a couple (few, many, um, a lot) of other tops to quilt, I can keep busy for a while and let my wrist heal.
It's Day 15 and the block is Gentleman's Fancy. This block provides many opportunities for color play. Swap the lights and darks to create a completely different look. The center square is a great place to show off a favorite print.
This block is from Ladies Art Company, 1897*
